Why Join Davidson Village Network?

Simplify your life. Save money. Maintain your home. Reduce stress. Stay mobile. Connect with others.

The Village is a low-cost way to live at home and delay going to a costly senior living facility.  It also fosters social connections and friendships that keep members engaged in their community.  Members of the Davidson Village Network are better enabled to lead healthy, productive lives.

What are the options? Davidson Village Network offers two classes of membership.

Full Service Members receive all of the services offered by Davidson Village Network. Services include those provided by volunteers, such as, transportation, household assistance with simple chores and repairs, electronics coaching, wellness calls, and limited visitation. DVN also will provide Full Service Members with a list of vetted preferred vendors for those needs too complex for volunteers to perform, such as heating and air conditioning providers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, etc. And, Full Service Members also have access to the full panoply of events, activities and programs provided by DVN.

Full Service membership is available to anyone living in Davidson and its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). The Town of Davidson includes subdivisions such as River Run, Summers Walk, Bailey Springs, and Davidson Pointe, which is actually in Iredell County. New subdivisions such as West Branch and Davidson East are also or will be within the Town limits. The ETJ covers less populated areas along Grey and Shearers Roads.

Social Members, the other class of membership, receive access to all of the events, activities and programs. However, Social Members do not receive any of the volunteer services and vetted vendor service lists.

Social Memberships are available to this same area plus neighboring communities within 10 miles of the nearest Davidson Town boundary. Having Social Memberships in this expanded geographical area is possible because DVN is not providing at home or transportation services for this class of membership.

Below is a handbook that provides more information about Davidson Village Network membership.

This visit will be focused on providing additional information about DVN in the form of a brief presentation and by giving you a Member Handbook. When you are ready to sign-up as a member of DVN, you will be asked to complete and sign a Membership Agreement, which is the contract between members and the Davidson Village Network. At the signing of this Agreement, we will also collect your annual membership fee. At this meeting, you will also be given a New Member Survey by a membership intake volunteer. When these steps are completed, you will be officially a DVN member.
